Welcome to Green Valley Farm
Community Supported Agriculture program 2010
What is Community Supported Agriculture?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a innovative farming model that allows individuals and families to pay for a specific share of the harvest ahead of the growing season when the farmer needs the money for expense like seeds, soil amendments, potting soil, and greenhouse fuel and other inputs. A share means that each member will be able to come to the farm, starting in June and pickup freshly harvested produce every week through out the season. This direct link between the farmer and the consumer means that as a farmer I can focus on growing you healthy food in a sustainable environment and give the shareholder the ability to know and see where and how thier food is produced. Eating locally never tasted so good!
How Do The Shares Work?
- Choose the share that you would like to purchase.
- Fill out the contract and mail it to the farm or reply via the website, using PayPal.
- Fill out our questionnaire asking about your produce likes and dislikes
- As the season approaches you will receive weekly emails informing you of the progress and let you know when the farm store will be open.
- For your convenience you may select the items and quantities needed on line and we will have it ready for pick up or;
- You can come at your leisure (during business hours) and pick up what you need and it will be charged against your account.
- Through out the season we will offer other locally grown or produced foods, including home made bread, granola and more!
